Description

Wisteria sinensis ‘Prolific’ is a vigorous, fragrant cultivar. Known for its abundant, early, lilac-blue flowers displayed in long, drooping clusters; it blooms reliably from a young age.
Best on pergolas or walls, this fast-growing climber requires full sun, well-drained soil, and consistent pruning to manage its size and encourage blooms.
It offers stunning spring displays with sweet scents.

All parts except the flowers are toxic.

Climber – Anti-clockwise
Fully hardy – leaves drop in autumn. Flowers bloom before leaves. Take care not to damage buds, flower and leaf buds look distinctly different.
Grow in full sun.
Requires a sturdy structure to climb, plant can get heavy as it grows.
Prune –  wispy shoots in summer and main framework branches in winter.
