Lavender Hidcote

Description

Lavender Hidcote is traditional, evergreen, hardy fragrant Lavender. This must be one of the nation’s best known varieties of English lavender; it has robust deep blue/purple flowers, with plump flower heads and grey-green foliage. It is ideal planted as a low growing hedge or by a pathway, somewhere its fragrance can be appreciated as you brush past. The flower-spikes are highly attractive to bees and other nectar-loving insects. Reaches a mature height of 60-80cm and spread 50-100cm.
