Lamprocapnos (Dicentra) spectabilis ‘Alba’

Description

A popular and graceful variety, Dicentra spectabilis ‘Alba’ produces snowy white heart-shaped bell flowers. The pretty flowers begin to bloom from April to June and contrast well against the dense fern-like foliage. A great addition to the spring garden, they reach a height of 60cm and can be planted in patio containers or alongside contrasting colours of perennials. These elegant looking flowers, also known as ‘Bleeding Hearts’ hold an Award of Garden Merit and can be used as part of a cut-flower display to be appreciated indoors. They will flourish in well-drained, fertile soil in sunny or partially locations.
