Veronica (Hebe) ‘Champion’

Description

A compact, bushy, evergreen shrub with an upright habit to around 50cm high, spread to about 1m. Small, rounded, slightly cupped dark green leaves emerge bronze and become flushed with purple in winter. Slender spikes of pale violet blue flowers that fade to near white are produced from late spring into summer.

Full sun or part shade.

Eventual height up to 0.45 metres with a spread of up to 1 metre

Suits a range of well-drained soils, but best grown in poor to moderately fertile, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Shelter from cold, drying winds.

Prune mid- to late spring. Prune lightly removing unsightly shoots as required.
