Okra Clemsons Spineless is a prolific grower. It produces green and spineless pods. It can grow to over 1m in height, so may need staking to prevent damage.
Treat the same way as aubergine and grown on in the greenhouse to get a good crop. Pick the pods when young. Do not allow the plants to get too cold as they will develop a purple tint and growth will slow down.

What to do next
Prick out at two leaf stage into small pots. Grow on at 16°C in full light. Plant out into rich soil or into a large container.

Handy Tip
Sow and raise these in the same way as aubergines. Pick the pods when they are about 7cm (3″) long.
They are heat loving plants so try to keep them in a fairly stable warm temperature range.
