When to Sow Pacific Giant Polyanthus Seeds
June and July
What to do Next
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed seed compost in pots or trays. Keep at a temperature of between 15-20°C (59-68°F). Do not exclude light and keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged. Germination will usually take 14-30 days. As soon as you see the seed start to germinate, lightly cover the seeds with vermiculite.
What to do Next
When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions in a cold frame or sheltered part of the garden for a few weeks before planting out in the autumn, in borders spaced 15cm (6″) apart or plant into containers for autumn/spring colour.
Flowers
March to May the following year.
