Lamprocapnos (Dicentra) spectabilis

Description

This popular perennial, Dicentra Spectabilis, also known as ‘bleeding heart’, produces vivid heart-shaped pink and white flowers that arch amongst deep green fern-like foliage. Holder of an Award of Garden Merit by the RHS, it is a reliable perennial that has a good resistance to pests and diseases, making this an ideal choice for adding a flourish of brilliant colour to patio containers or garden borders. They will also make wonderful floral arrangements, bringing this eye-catching flower into the home to be enjoyed. Flowering from April to June, they will reach a height of 60cm and prefer to be grown in sheltered, partially shaded locations, although can also tolerate sunny areas.
