Eryngium planum ‘Blue Hobbit’

£12.00

Eryngiums make a worthwhile addition to any dry, sunny borders and gravel gardens. They have thistle-like flowers, made up of tiny flowers packed together tighthly in a cluster, surrounded by a collar of spiny bracts. The flowerheads last well when cut and can also be dried.

Eryngium planum ‘Blue Hobbit’ is a very compact cultivar with small, steely blue flower heads. It is perfect for growing at the front of a herbaceous border, gravel garden or in a container, and makes a wonderful cut flower, both in fresh and dried arrangements.

Height 0.5m Spread 0.5m

Supplied as a professional size plant in a 2L pot, all plants are health checked before sending with a Scottish plant passport. Depending on when in the season you buy, they may be getting ready to flower, in flower, or have passed flowering. If bought in winter the foliage may be dying back, but the plants will re-grow the following season.
Ensure the plant is watered in, and regularly after initial planting until new growth is seen which generally indicates the plant has started to root into the new position.

Please feel free to contact Borringtons prior to buying with any questions about your prospective purchase.
