Dahlia – Dark Spirit (Loose Tuber)

Description

Dahlia Dark Spirit has deep wine-red spherical blooms with each flower head made up of layers of silky, inwardly curved petals creating a perfectly formed sphere.
A great choice for the summer garden, with it’s stand out, striking colour in your garden.

Ideally plant in a sunny garden border, bed or patio pot in a sheltered position. When the plant is in full flower it can be cut for an excellent cut flower display. Height 120cm. Flowers June to September.

Plant Tuber to depth of approx. 10cm
Plant in well draining soil. Plant after frost, Dahlias are not frost tolerant.

To ensure you can enjoy your plants in future years, and in areas where there is extreme cold, lift tubers and store in potting compost over the winter.
Apply a high potash fertiliser every few weeks in the summer to help growth. Dead head when necessary.
