Where to Sow
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C (68-77°F)

What to do Next
When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into trays spacing seedlings 5cm (2″) apart. Grow on and gradually harden off before planting outside 35cm (14″) apart form late May.

July to October

Handy Tip
Will grow well even in poor soil but does not like a sunny position. Can also be sown direct outside form late April.
