Sedum ‘Carl’

£12.00

Tall, upright sedums form substantial clumps of foliage which can be substituted for shrubs in the landscape. Their stout, sturdy stems support the massive flower heads which develop in summer and burst into bloom in fall. If left standing, they provide winter interest and food for birds. This English variety is distinguished from ‘Autumn Joy’ by its compact habit and large clusters of brilliant magenta pink flowers held on reddish stems from late summer into fall. Compared to the more muted pink colors of some older sedums, this one really packs a punch when it’s in bloom.

Rounded, slightly serrated, grey green leaves form a densely mounded, upright clump.

Supplied as a professional size plant in a 2L pot, all plants are health checked before sending with a Scottish plant passport. Depending on when in the season you buy, they may be getting ready to flower, in flower, or have passed flowering. If bought in winter the foliage may be dying back, but the plants will re-grow the following season.
Ensure the plant is watered in, and regularly after initial planting until new growth is seen which generally indicates the plant has started to root into the new position.

Please feel free to contact Borringtons prior to buying with any questions about your prospective purchase.
