My name is Iain and I operate a small garden maintenance and plant growing business in Dumfries, offering hardy perennials, cacti, succulents (and anything else that I find interesting). The plants are germinated in whichever conditions they require but aside from our cacti and succulents they are swiftly moved into the outdoors to harden off and to acclimatize to the Scottish weather, this means that our plants should be tough and able to withstand most weathers within their normal hardiness tolerances. None of the plants are grown in cosy glasshouse conditions and are all grown from seed or vegetatively propagated on site, we sometimes buy stock in from UK growers, from collections, overstocks or to increase what we can offer while our own plants are growing to sale size and where we do we will try to indicate this.
I hope that I can share some of my favourite plants with you via Borringtons, whatever they may be!
We are able to sell all of our plants face to face under government regulations. That is collection from our growing site, by local personal delivery or at market/functions direct to the end user.
I am also proud to have attained :
Certificate of higher education (Natural Sciences)(Via Open University)
Level 2 RHS Certificate in the principles of plant growth, propagation & development.(Via Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh)
